As vice president of NCMEC’s Development and Major Gifts division, Marita Rodriguez is responsible for overseeing and managing NCMEC’s private funding verticals through the establishment of strong strategic alliances that are built on trust, mutual support, and transparency. These opportunities range from corporate partners, individual donors, major gifts, special events, foundations, third party events, direct mail, estate gifts, and online giving.
Prior to moving to the nonprofit sector Marita worked for ABC Sports, the Winter Olympics, Monday Night Football, The Ryder Cup, televised productions of the PGA Tour and several specials produced by former ABC President, Roone Arledge, and developed a multi-channel private funding program for Special Olympics. Straight out of college Marita worked as a TV host for a national shopping show; and at ProServ securing sponsorships and endorsements for its professional tennis events and myriad clients such as Michael Jordan, Patrick Ewing, the Arthur Ashe Foundation, Coach John Thompson.
In 2011, Rodriguez was nominated by Google and received FOSI’s Outstanding Achievement Award. Over the years Marita has worked to build NCMEC’s corporate partner portfolio and has successfully garnered funding that has helped to support many NCMEC programs.Read more
