Lynet Mortensen, LCSW
Mental Health Therapist lynet.mortensen@cobbk12.org Lynet Mortensen serves as a licensed mental health therapist for the Success for All Students project. She is based at Barber Middle School where she provides mental health services for students and families; Lynet also offers these services at McCall Primary, Acworth Intermediate, and Baker Elementary schools. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Lynet started her career in the mental health services field as a caseworker for the Department of Children and Family Services (DFACS) in a rural Georgia county. Later, she worked in the Home Health Care field for a major Georgia hospital, specializing in counseling for homebound clients. Prior to joining the Success for All Students team, Lynet worked at a metro-Atlanta psychiatric hospital for nearly ten years. She earned her Masters of Social Work (MSW) degree from the University of Georgia. In her free time Lynet enjoys spending time with her husband, Scott, and their four children. Her hobbies include traveling, cooking, watching movies, and reading.
