Jan 12, 2010Professional Womens Network, Inc. (PWN) was founded in November 1979 by Jean Kruse, Liz Sparks and Carolyn Stephens. These women believed that an organization was needed in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to assist women in their upward mobility in the professional and business world. Because of the efforts, dreams, and ideals of the founders, Professional Womens Network, Inc. is now a reality women helping women strengthen professions, develop networks, and exchange knowledge. The current PWN membership base represents all elements of service, product, and government industries in the Eastern Iowa Region. Our members professions vary from healthcare workers to attorneys, project managers to entrepreneurs, receptionists and real estate agents, to students and retirees (to name a few). PWN is proud of our diverse membership as the strength of PWN is in our diversity of talents and interests, more than our similarities.
