Lisa began her career in the insurance industry in 1986 when she was employed as a Sales Assistant for Blue Shield of California in the Bay Area. After four years with Blue Shield of California, she established her own business. Lisa had the expressed desire to provide service to her clientele, which she felt was lacking in the insurance agencies that she had dealt with during her career with Blue Shield of California. In 1990, Lisa established Pimentel Insurance Services with a mission statement that reads, "Personal service with a difference." In 1994, Lisa relocated her business from the San Jose area to her husband's hometown of Turlock, California. She decided to do this because of the high volume of business that she was able to achieve throughout the State of California, due to a large amount of referrals. Ron became a licensed insurance agent with the State of California after his marriage to Lisa in 1990.
