Lindsay Jackson - Field Hockey Limestone College
Lindsay Jackson was named the first head coach in Limestone field hockey history in November 2008 and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the program. In addition to her field hockey duties, she also serves as Limestone's Senior Woman Administrator, a role she has held since the summer of 2010. This past season, Jackson and the Saints produced the best season in the young program's history, going 11-6 and notching a number of impressive victories. During the season, Jackson's recruiting efforts paid off as freshman defender Rachel Goromonzi was named to the Synapse All-Rookie Squad after shattering the program single season point (29) and goal (12) records. In 2009, the first year of field hockey at Limestone, Jackson helped the Saints navigate one of the most challenging schedules in the country. Prior to joining Limestone, Jackson served as the assistant women's lacrosse coach at St. Andrews Presbyterian College since the fall of 2006. While there she helped lead the Knights to one of their best seasons in program history in 2007 as the team set a number of school records. She also has coaching experience at the high school level, where she has worked as an assistant coach for Southern High School in Maryland and has also coached for the Severna Park and East Coast Field Hockey camps. Jackson attended Mercyhurst College in Erie, Pa. where she played both field hockey and lacrosse. She earned All-Academic honors on four occasions and was named to the Dean's List and the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Division II Academic Honor Roll. She graduated in May of 2006 and currently holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management. She resides in Gaffney, S.C.
