Kevin Sullivan
Vice President of Product Management & Business Development Kevin's interest in computers began with his first programming class in the 8th Grade. His career in technology began much later, in the mid 1990's. After a few years of delivering training and managing network environments for IBM Global Services and regional training/consultancies, he entered the Software Development world as a Sales Engineer and Product Manager for Aelita/Quest Software. Kevin became a Group Policy MVP and began collaborating with Darren Mar-Elia and others with deep interest in Windows and Configuration Management. Kevin then became the Director of Product Management at DesktopStandard, which was acquired by Microsoft in 2006. After the process of integrating GP Preferences and Advanced Group Policy Management into the Microsoft fray was complete he joined other product teams such as Windows Intune and App-V. Kevin left his position as Principal Program Manager with Microsoft to join one of the early, passionate and focused Group Policy companies, Specops Software. At Specops Kevin functioned as the Director of Sales Engineering and worked directly with the Sales organization and with Engineering to ensure messages were solid to the market and feedback from the market was sound and articulated clearly. Kevin is passionate about Group Policy, Directory Services, PowerShell and other technologies. SDM Software brings together so many of these technologies that the fit is seamless. Kevin is an occasional speaker at industry events and can be found on popular forums sharing and collaborating with others working in the computer management space. A recovering musician, husband and father of three amazing kids, Kevin lives with his family, dog and two cats at the beach in Southern Massachusetts.
