Keith LarsenHead Coach, Men's BasketballPhone: (209) 667-3528Email: klarsen@csustan.eduKeith Larsen enters his fourth season at Cal State Stanislaus, after becoming the ninth head coach of the Warriors men's basketball program in June of 2003.In 2005-06 Larsen guided the Warriors to a 14-13 overall mark,the team's first winning season since 2002-03.The team finished as one of the hottest teams in the conference and region, posting a 9-2 record to close out the season.Prior to joining the Warriors, Larsen was the men's basketball coach, golf coach and athletics director at Menlo College in Atherton, Calif. After taking over a struggling program at Menlo College, Larsen led the Oaks to two conference championships and advanced to the NAIA national championship tournament twice.Larsen was named the conference's basketball "Coach of the Year" two times and once in golf.Academically, Larsen's 2002-03 conference championship squad had a national-best combined grade-point-average of 3.41.Prior to his tenure at Menlo College, Larsen worked under Mike Montgomery as an assistant coach at Stanford University from 1992 to 1997.From 1988 to 1992, Larsen coached boys basketball, girls volleyball and golf at Woodside (Calif.) High School.He also worked at Mills High School (Millbrae, Calif.) as a freshman and sophomore coach from 1978 to 1987.Larsen is a 1985 graduate from San Francisco State, where he obtained a bachelor of arts degree in kinesiology.He also has an associate of arts degree from Skyline College in San Bruno and a master's in sports administration.Larsen and his wife, Shaun, have two children, Camilyn (11) and Victoria (9) and reside in Turlock.
