Joni Warner, arts outreach coordinator for Siena Heights University, is facilitating the project.
Warner said it's a delight to see all the people who have volunteered to help on the project pitching in to create something beautiful. "The biggest thing is just watching all of these people come together and have conversation," she said. "As much as we talk about art creating community - boom, here it is." The project is being funded partly by Siena Heights University but mostly by private donations. Warner said donations are still being accepted - and "if we get too much money, it's going to go to the next mural, which we're already starting to plan." Project times will vary but there will be more information available during the community meetings, Warner said.
