Jonathan Stith, National Coordinator, The Alliance for Educational Justice

This Week in Education Organizing - Sept. 25, 2015 | Alliance to Reclaim Our Schools

Jonathan Stith, National Coordinator for the Alliance for Educational Justice, published a powerful op-ed in The Hill on Thursday linking the story of Ahmed Mohamed, the 14-year-old Texas student arrested for bringing a homemade clock to school, to federal policies that encourage the use of harsh, discriminatory school discipline policies.

This Week in Education Organizing - September 9, 2016 | Alliance to Reclaim Our Schools

"The Federal guidance does nothing for the millions of Black students who attend schools with cops but no counselors-students who are 2.3 times as likely to be arrested as their white counterparts," said Jonathan Stith, director of the Alliance for Education Justice (AEJ).
