John Tourtelot Mr. Tourtelot is an adjunct instructor at Kaplan College.A decorated Vietnam War veteran, his professional background includes work as a police sergeant and an assistant Illinois Attorney General as well as a private law practice.He was appointed to the bench as a Cook County Circuit Court Judge in 1995 and has served in the criminal courts in Chicago for the last eight years.He is presently assigned to the Fourth Municipal District in Maywood.Mr. Tourtelot has taught at Harper College and Lewis University.

Oak Park, IL ( January 1, 2005) - RUSH Oak Park Hospital has appointed two new members to its Board of Directors: Donna M. Carroll, president of Dominican University and the Honorable Judge John D. Tourtelot.
Tourtelot, an Associate Cook County Circuit Court Judge since 1995, has thirty-three years' experience in law and law enforcement. He has served as Assistant Illinois Attorney General, Special Prosecutor for the Cook County State's Attorney's Office, has been a faculty member at Harper College for nine years, and has hosted the Law Forum radio show as well as The Law Corner television program. A former Army Lieutenant, Judge Tourtelot commanded an infantry platoon in Vietnam. He is a volunteer at St. Alexius Hospital in Hoffman Estates and Judge Advocate for Disabled American Veterans.
