Dr. Pamela Jordi made a “decision of the heart” when she decided to explore women’s health. She loved her OB-GYN rotation during her third year of medical school and became incredibly passionate about women’s healthcare. She values the “opportunity to connect with women in every stage of life and treat their whole needs.” She fostered this passion... during a month at the Institute for Latin American Concern in the Dominican Republic providing health care for women at local hospitals and free clinics, and she also volunteered at free women’s health clinics in Omaha, and provided testing and education for inmates at the Douglas County Corrections Facility. Though, the most rewarding experience arose from two healthy pregnancies and raising two boys. “I now have even more appreciation and respect for the labor process and how mothers and parents have that overwhelming feeling of wanting a healthy outcome.” Drawn to Clinic Sofia for its patient-centered approach and personalized feel, Dr. Jordi enjoys early pregnancy assessment, surgical management, and serving as a resource for women. Essentially, she loves “all of it” when it comes to her career working with women and supporting their health, and appreciates how Clinic Sofia feels like family. Born and raised in Centerville, Minn., Dr. Jordi moved to Omaha after graduating from the University of St. Thomas with a degree in Biology and minor in Spanish. Dr. Jordi graduated from Creighton University School of Medicine, where she completed a Healer’s Art Program and earned a Dean’s scholarship. She completed her residency at University of Nebraska Medical Center. She has since moved back home to be closer to family and noting that “there is an unmatched tranquility and beauty about Minnesota nature and lakes.” She still loves everything about the water, including water skiing, swimming, ice skating, and scuba diving as well as spending time with her family and dog, Bailey.
