Rev. Janet C. Morse
Hospice Chaplain Reverend Janet C. Morse is an ordained pastor in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, Rocky Mountain Synod. She was raised in the Chicago area - daughter of a Lutheran pastor. She graduated from Texas Lutheran University with a Bachelors of Music Education in 1976. She earned her MDiv from the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago in 1989, the year she was ordained. Reverend Morse served rural congregations in Nebraska before becoming a chaplain in 1993. She has served as a chaplain for over 13 years, mostly in the geriatric/end-of-life field. She is a graduate of the Geriatric Pastoral Care Institute in 2000. She has served as a staff chaplain for Presbyterian Hospice since August 2005 and currently serves as the State Representative for the Association of Professional Chaplains. Reverend Morse is the mother of two grown children - both are musical as well. She enjoys music, reading, shopping garage sales, travel and playing with her dog.
