With Iqbal Mian, Janet developed a strategic deployment consult offering at Practice Greenhealth. Janet pioneered sustainability in health care from 1991-2004 for Continuum Health Partners in New York City. Janet Brown Director of Facility Engagement As Director of Facility Engagement, Janet Brown acts as a conduit among the membership, making connections, sharing successes and working to create an community of sharing, where members are both teachers and students. She supports hospitals through technical assistance, information-sharing, data collection, goal setting and program development. In 2011 she became contributing editor to Health Care Design Magazine's Green Column and served on the Green Guide for health Care Pilot Operations Team. Janet has served on the Cleanmed Planning committee since its inception. She began her career in health care sustainability in 1991, when she convinced Beth Israel Medical Center in New York to create the position of a waste manager. Janet lives in Amherst, MA, with her husband and two children. She enjoys gardening and coaching her daughter's soccer team.
