Joe Werner, past chapter president, who sat on the scholarship selection committee, and Hank Amor, TIAA vice president, presented honorary $1,000 checks to David Kearns and Melinda Johnson. Amor said there were more local applications this year than he can ever remember, and the selection process was not easy. "It's exciting to see that there are a lot of young people who are looking at our industry in auto repair, diesel, body, paint, collision repair as professions they want to persue to support their family and build a career," he said.
