A member of Actor's Equity, the Dramatists Guild and the Minnesota Playwright's Center, she wrote the book for the last 6 installments of the highly successful, and nationally franchised, CHURCH BASEMENT LADIES' musical series, and was the co-lyricist for numbers 6 and 7. Other writing credits include: Lemonade For The Lawnboy, the Medora Gospel Brunch, Christmas On The Ranch, and the annual SPOTLIGHT SHOWCASE. In addition, Greta is a voice over and commercial artist, and travels the country as a motivational speaker and corporate trainer. Past clients include McDonalds, L'Oreal, and the Minnesota Vikings. After graduating with a theatre degree from Mankato State University in '89, Greta moved to New York City in 1991. She soon began touring and performing with regional theatres across the country in a wide variety of roles. Greta has been a familiar face in the Twin Cities since 1996, where she still resides today. Greta Grosch as Mavis in The Church Basement Ladies A versatile performer and writer, Greta bought her first guitar in 1991 and started writing comic songs. In 1995 she recorded "Some of My Songs - by Greta. Shortly thereafter she began to explore sketch comedy as a company member of Dudley Riggs Brave New Workshop, where she received much acclaim for her performance of "The Mosquito. Greta went on to spend four years with the Minneapolis production of TONY AND TINA'S WEDDING , to appear in the world premiere of the musical BINGO at the Ordway, and to become the original Mavis in the hit musical CHURCH BASEMENT LADIES . Greta Grosch in Annie In 1997, Greta began performing with her sister as "the Silly Sisters. For 10 years they appeared at libraries, schools and museums, and created original family-friendly programs for corporations. In 2006 Greta continued her fondness for alliteration by forming "the Looney Lutherans. The trio continues to perform today. Greta Grosch in Hello, Dolly! In 1999 Greta created her first one-woman show, I AM BECOMING, where she made an amazing transformation into seven distinct characters before the eyes of the audience. That same year she returned to the stage with an assortment of new characters in GRETA! STILL BECOMING! In the Spring of 2007, she combined the best of those performances to create a full-length one woman show that had audiences raving. Some of her memorable characters occasionally pop up as members of GIRL WITH GUITAR, her company that provides interactive entertainment to a corporate audience. In 2005 Greta's career took a turn when she became the scriptwriter for the annual MEDORA MUSICAl . Soon after that she began working as the scriptwriter for the CHURCH BASEMENT LADIES musical franchise. She has penned numerous sequels that are currently playing across the country, and continues to be in demand as a scriptwriter for a variety of projects. Greta Grosch in The Drowsy Chaperone In 2007 she became a member of Actor's Equity, the stage actor's union, and has since become a member of the Dramatist's Guild of America and the Playwrights' Center. In 2010 she served as Creative Director for the Minnesota Vikings 50th anniversary celebration, and has gone on direct numerous corporate and stage productions. Greta Grosch presents Lemonade for the Lawnboy. In 2015 Greta formed a production company, Greta Grosch Presents LLC, in order to produce her new musical LEMONADE FOR THE LAWNBOY. She also became the Chair of the Twin Cities AEA Liaison Committee. In her spare time, Greta travels the country as a motivational speaker and corporate trainer, serves as a scriptwriter for a variety of projects, and appears regularly on television and in radio ads.
