Very occasionally, an article comes along that makes you realise that guys who lift weights aren't just meatheads. This post is just that, as Evan is both jacked and seriously smart. I was lucky enough to meet Evan at Layne Norton's VIP Camp in the summer of 2015, and when he suggested a guest post, I jumped at the chance. Currently, Evan is a scientist in the Nutrition and Exercise Performance Laboratory at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where their research objective focuses on muscle metabolism and exercise physiology. Beyond responsibilities as a researcher, Evan teaches kinesiology classes on campus in a continued effort to perpetuate his passion for physical and mental well being across the community. Parallel to his academic efforts, Evan leads his team, at ShyTown Fitness, of highly specialized trainers in their global interactions with clientele.
