Policy Director, Sustainable Buildings 202.662.1893 LinkedIn Ellen leads EESI's High Performance Green Building Initiative, which she originally launched. She develops and promotes policies that maximize the use of energy efficiency, renewable energy, and sustainable materials in buildings. Ellen has more than 25 years of experience on building-related policy issues, having previously worked for Steven Winter Associates, a research, design and consulting firm for high-performance buildings, and for the Air Conditioning Contractors of America. She has participated on National Academy panels, testified before the U.S. Congress, and authored or coauthored a number of significant articles on buildings and energy, including "Beyond Green: High Performance Buildings," and "Advancing a Blueprint for High-Performance Homes."
