Elizabeth Granahan
Elizabeth Granahan, PGA, is one of the country's most well respected teaching professionals. She has been the recipient of numerous awards, including being named the Philadelphia Section PGA Teacher of Year in 2009. Elizabeth is the first and only female recipient of this prestigious title. In 2010, she was a National "Teacher of the Year" Award Nominee and a 2011 GolfDigest, "America's 100 Best Clubfitters" award recipient. An industry trailblazer, she remains the only woman golf professional to have served on staff at the prestigious Merion Golf Club, which for the fifth time will host the U.S. Open in 2013. Elizabeth's 25 year career includes many highlights, one of her favorites being named senior golf consultant and member of the coaching staff of the TV show Golf's Red Zone Challenge in 2008. She is a nationally recognized speaker on the subject golf instruction, and she has published articles and manuals for both print and on the web. She has received over a dozen prestigious awards that recognize her dedication to the sport, and her outstanding skill and ability to help her students achieve excellence on the course. Presently, Ms. Granahan if the President and Director of Instruction for The G2 Golf Group, and also Director of Instruction at Chester Valley Golf Club in Malvern, Pa. GRANAHAN, PGA Elizabeth is the President of The G2 Golf Group, the Director of Instruction of "G2 - The Granahan Golf Academy" and the Director of Instruction in Residence at Chester Valley Golf Club (Malvern, PA). Elizabeth has been teaching golf for nearly 30 years and has been the recipient of numerous national and regional awards. Most notably, she is the first woman in the 90+ year history of the Philadelphia Section PGA to have been awarded "Teacher of the Year" honors (2009), and is the most decorated woman instructor in the history of the Philadelphia Section PGA. In 2010, she was a National PGA "Teacher of the Year" Award Nominee, a 2011 GolfDigest, "America's 100 Best Clubfitters" award recipient and a "2015-2016 GolfDigest Best Teacher". An industry trailblazer, she remains the only woman golf professional to have served on staff at the prestigious Merion Golf Club (4 years). In 2011, Ms. Granahan served as one of eight elite instructors from around the country, invited to coach at the "Inaugural Junior Ryder Cup Academy" (PGA Center for Learning & Performance, Port St. Lucie, FL). More national recognition has come in the form of five consecutive GRAA "Top 50 Growth of the Game Teaching Professional" awards (2012 - 2016). Additionally, from 2007 through 2012, Elizabeth was recognized by the PGA President's Council for "Growing the Game." Presently, Elizabeth is the Chair of the Philadelphia Section PGA's Instruction Committee (2015-2017). Her innovative work has been featured in print, radio & television.
