DOYLESTOWN (PA) - Delaware Valley College has named Ed Andrewlevich as its new head coach for the men's and women's cross country teams.He replaces Dr. Robert Berthold, Jr., who retired earlier this summer after 33 years with the Aggies.Andrewlevich is no stranger to Delaware Valley as he served as Berthold's assistant coach last season.He was also an assistant coach for the Aggie men's and women's track and field teams during the 2002 campaign."It offers me a great opportunity to be coach a sport that I've been involved with for years," Andrewlevich said."Following up Doc Berthold's 33 years of coaching is a challenge but I am looking forward to that challenge."Andrewlevich was a member of the Bloomsburg University cross country and track teams from 1986 to 1990.He earned Most Valuable Player honors for the cross country team in 1989 and also served as the team's captain that same year.Andrewlevich graduated from Bloomsburg in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration.He went on to earn a Master's degree in business administration from Temple University in 2001.In addition to coaching at Delaware Valley, Andrewlevich is the vice president of direct marketing targeting for Chase Manhattan Mortgage Corporation in Horsham."We are excited that Ed has accepted the cross country position and we feel that he will be a tremendous asset to Delaware Valley College," Aggie athletic director Frank Wolfgang said.
