Donny Roth
Vice-Chairman Donny Roth has been involved with the SCYSF since its inception in 2008 and currently serves on the Board of Directors as Vice Chairman. Donny owns Shotgun Sports Plus, a business that serves shooters, gun clubs and shooting preserve businesses across the southeast. A highly trained shooting instructor, his passion is to teach shooters how to shoot better - specifically youth shooters from 10 to 25 years of age. After a 20-year career in corporate America, Donny wanted a change. As an avid outdoorsman, hunting and fishing was a big part of his recreational life. As fate would have it, an introduction one day to sporting clays (relatively new to the upstate of SC in 1990) changed his career path. He found a way to incorporate his love for the outdoors into his work life when he became involved in the Gun Club and Shooting Preserve business in 1990 as an owner of an upstate club. From that point forward, he never looked back, and began his next 25 years in all aspects of shooting, teaching, building and designing gun clubs.
