Past President of NCCL and an author of many articles, Don was the 2013 recipient of the F. Sadlier Dinger Award for outstanding leadership and achievements in catechetical ministry. He earned his MA in religious studies from Indiana University.

Kurre takes charge of citizen advocacy
Don Kurre Don Kurre of North Platte is the new coordinator for North Platte Citizen Advocacy. As the coordinator, Kurre will work closely with the board and the community to create the arrangements. Don and Imo Kurre and their three children moved to North Platte in 1985. Kurre holds a master's degree in religious studies from Indiana University. He is the chairman of Rail Fest, a Rotarian and has served on the Noon Rotary's board of directors. Kurre is a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and worked for the diocese of Grand Island for 30 years. He has served a term on the city council, representing ward 3, and he is president of two national professional associations. He has also served a chairman of Leadership Lincoln County project. Kurre also plays bass in the Flat Rock Irregulars, an Irish band, and as part of music ministry at his parish.
