South Carolina businessman Dick Denison said Mike Marsicano hired him five or six months ago to sell a jet, but Denison didn't know until recently that the jet was tied up in Butler Township attorney Robert Powell's guilty plea. Denison, owner of Greer, S.C.-based Denison Jet Sales Corp., said Marsicano hasn't been returning his messages. Federal authorities sent someone to appraise the jet but haven't provided any instructions, Denison said. "I'm advertising and spending money trying to sell this jet. I don't know what's going on," Denison said. Denison said his listing agreement with 40 Degrees North was signed by Marsicano, and Marsicano has been his only contact regarding the sale. The jet has been parked at Greenville Downtown Airport in upstate South Carolina for at least five months, Denison said. Though the jet is listed for $1.995 million, Denison said he doesn't know if that price is attainable because jet sales are down due to the struggling economy. "I just sold a similar jet for $1.1 million," Denison said. Denison said he's talking to one potential buyer, but that person hasn't submitted a purchase offer.
