Delphine Gervais Delphine Gervais Delphine Gervais "Stress Management: Strategies for Solving Life's Messier Problems" Good stress, bad stress. Delphine Gervais is a licensed clinical social worker with over fifteen years of experience in the field of social work, education and community involvement. She started her career with City of Miami's welfare to work program. She then became a social worker with Miami-Dade County's Head Start program. Delphine is a certified School Social Worker with the Florida Department of Education and served as a school social worker, TRUST Counselor, and dual enrollment professor for Miami Dade County Public Schools. She's currently serves as an adjunct professor with Miami Dade College's Social Science Department. Delphine currently serves as the Dean of School Culture and Climate with The SEED School of Miami, located in Miami Gardens, FL. Delphine is a native of St. Maarten, Netherlands Antilles and is the proud daughter of Haitian immigrants. A product of Miami's inner-city communities, Delphine understands that barriers are mere stepping stones to personal greatness. She received her Bachelor of Social Work degree from Florida International University and her Master of Social Work degree from Barry University. As a clinician, Delphine considers it a privilege to have worked with a myriad of client groups from early childhood to the aging. It is with great reverence that she approaches the client-worker relationship with the full knowledge that each person does in fact hold the key to their future. Delphine is the partner in crime of Pastor Eddy Gervais of Community Christian Church. When not trying to be a self-designated "problem solver", Delphine enjoys blogging about random musings of everyday living.
