Kelly and Associates was founded in 1999 by the principal Ambrose Kelly. Ambrose grew up in Penshurst, Victoria in a family of nine children. Educated at Monivae College in Hamilton, Ambrose completed his Bachelor of Business at Deakin University. On completion of his degree he worked for Boyd Partners, a Chartered Accounting firm based in St. Kilda Road, Melbourne. Three years later he moved to Brown, Cross and Davies, a Chartered Accounting firm servicing businesses in Geelong and the Bellarine Peninsula. Due to the dissolution of the partnership at Brown, Cross and Davies, Ambrose started his own accounting practice, Kelly and Associates.
