Chris Hill left last winter to accept a similar position at Canisius University in his native Buffalo.
Creech said he expects to have three people staffing that department for 2015-2016, but that the responsibilities continue to evolve. "It used to be interacting with the media, keeping statistics up to date," he said, "and it's morphed into so much more than that from a technology standpoint: Video content, web streaming, things that have come in the Internet age that are really changing the role of the classic SID."

Portland State Vikings - Staff Directory Portland State Vikings Chris Hill New Media Coordinator (WSOC, T&F, CC, Tennis) Phone: (503) 725-2525 Email: Chris Hill joined Portland State in the summer of 2012 after working as a Media Relations Assistant at Harvard University during the 2011-12 athletic year. Hill will serve as the New Media Coordinator in charge of the athletic communications video efforts. In addition to his video work, Hill will work as the main media contact for women's soccer, cross country, track and field and men's and women's tennis. At Harvard Hill worked with men's volleyball, men's tennis, men's and women's fencing, and sailing, and assisted with a number of the Crimson's revenue generating sports such as football, men's and women's basketball and men's and women's hockey. The Buffalo, N.Y. native, oversaw Harvard's web streaming initiatives, helping to flawlessly broadcast live sporting events of football, hockey, basketball, lacrosse and volleyball. Hill was also instrumental in Harvard's increased video presence helping to conceptualize and produce a number of highlight and feature videos. Before arriving at Harvard, Hill served as the graduate assistant at Canisius College where he worked for two years. He was the main contact for women's soccer, cross country, swimming and diving and synchronized swimming. Hill helped to organize two championships in his time at Canisius, helping to host the 2011 MAAC Swimming and Diving championships held in downtown Buffalo, N.Y., as well as the 2011 USA Collegiate Synchro championships in Tonawanda, N.Y. A 2008 graduate of SUNY Oswego, Hill recently completed his Master's degree in sports administration from Canisius College in the winter of 2012.
