About Brent Hale
Brent joined Seaspan as Vice President, Human Resources in June 2015, bringing with him over 20 years of diverse experience in leadership, management and advisory roles, as well as a proven ability to build high performing teams. In June 2017, Brent was appointed Chief Administrative Officer. In this new role, Brent is accountable for the leadership and strategic direction of Seaspan’s Corporate Shared Services, while continuing to be a key member of the Executive Leadership Team. Seaspan’s Shared Services consist of all central corporate support services, including Business Solutions & Technology, Human Resources, Corporate Finance & Accounting, Corporate Supply Chain Management, Risk Management, Facilities & Security, Health, Safety, Environment & Quality, as well as Corporate Communications. Brent joined the company in 2015 from ICBC where he served as Director, Strategic HR and Governance. In that role, he drove executive and senior leadership cultural transformation and business-minded decision making with a focus on operating cost reductions. Brent completed a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia in 1994.
