Brenda Bergeron, a spokeswoman at the Department of Emergency Management and Homeland Security, said Friday that preliminary damage in New London County was reported at $1.4 million.
She said 100 percent of the county's cities and towns submitted preliminary damage assessments. Bergeron said she anticipates that FEMA will give the state at least that much money.
