Asbestos abatement and demolition of the eight buildings at the southeast corner of Highway 85 and 31st Street in Evans is scheduled to start the week of Monday, October 21st. Among the buildings scheduled to be demolished are the former Randys Diner, Eshs Market and Evans Business Center due to deteriorating building conditions and the established goal of preparing the area for new growth.
