Austin Dickson
Austin oversees the organizational budget, executes the strategic plan, advocates for policy change related to adult literacy, fundraises, and manages all staff. Austin joined Literacy Action in October 2012, having previously worked for the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta on its regional and environmental initiatives. He taught philosophy at Clayton State University from 2008 to 2016 and now teaches nonprofit leadership and management at the Candler School of Theology at Emory University. Austin is active in his East Atlanta neighborhood.
