Anne Williams - Psomas
PUBLIC DIRECTOR Anne Williams is a Senior Project Manager with Psomas' Los Angeles Land Use Entitlements Team. Anne has strong relationships with elected and appointed officials at City Hall and far-reaching connections to all stakeholders in Downtown Los Angeles, combined with a deep knowledge of the needs of the development community. With an emphasis on urban infill projects, she is responsible for guiding zoning and subdivision entitlement applications for developers, as well as representing them before public agencies. Previously, Anne was Vice President of Legislative & Legal Affairs for the Central City Association of Los Angeles (CCA) where she was the business organization's chief lobbyist, managing the CCA Political Action Committee (PAC) and organizing various industry sectors around emerging land use and economic development issues in Los Angeles and Sacramento. Her achievements include drafting a comprehensive citywide housing production policy as well as a visionary development plan for the continuing evolution of Downtown Los Angeles. Anne began her legal career as a Sacramento-focused lobbyist for a major Los Angeles law firm, subsequently working as a corporate lawyer, focused on mergers and acquisitions, for a New York law firm. Building on her broad-based perspective, Anne has become a valued business and political strategist who has been asked to serve as an advisory member of the Los Angeles chapters of both the Building Industry Association (BIA) and Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) Political Action Committees. She was also elected to the Board of the American Institute of Architects - Los Angeles Chapter (AIA-LA), and serves on the Board of Project Restore, a public/private partnership charged with stewardship of City-owned historic buildings. Anne holds JD and MBA degrees from the University of Southern California and a BA in Economics, Politics and Philosophy from Claremont McKenna College. She was a founding Member and Vice President of the Downtown Los Angeles Neighborhood Council, and served on its Planning and Land Use Committee.
