Schenectady County Assistant District Attorney Anne Bair cited Woodrow's two prior misdemeanor convictions but said "more importantly, the protection of the public requires maximum consecutive penalties."

As part of the plea agreement, Brendan Mitchell is expected to receive seven years behind bars and five years' of post-release supervision when sentenced Feb. 23 by County Judge Karen Drago, according to Assistant District Attorney Anne Bair.
"We believe it was drug-related," Bair said. The two people in the car with Mitchell, John York, 39, and Amie Chabot, 25, have already pleaded guilty to weapons charges and are awaiting sentencing, Bair said.
