Hudson graduated from Forrest City High School and earned the degrees of bachelor of science in education and master of education from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, where she also was certified in library science, learning disabilities, and early childhood education.She taught at the University of Arkansas and in the Arkansas public schools in Rogers and West Memphis. After becoming a licensed real estate broker in Arkansas and Texas, she brokered investment properties for the Dallas, Texas office of a national real estate investment firm.Hudson returned to Forrest City in 1990 to attend law school while teaching real estate classes at East Arkansas Community College.She obtained her law degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and has practiced law in the First Judicial District for the past 15 years.Hudson is a member of the St. Francis County Bar Association, the Arkansas Bar Association, the Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association, the American Association for Justice and the Arkansas Association of Women Lawyers.She previously served on the Board of Directors of East Arkansas Legal Services, and she was appointed to the Arkansas Governor's Council for Children with Learning Disabilities.She is currently a member of the Professional Advisory Board for Arkansas Children's Hospital and serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of East Arkansas Community College in Forrest City.A native of Forrest City, Hudson is the daughter of the late Dr. J.C. Beane Jr., and Mrs. Beane.
