Currently, Amit is a first year MBA student at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Prior to the MBA program, Amit was a founding member of DURON Energy, a start up focused on providing reliable, affordable energy to people living at the bottom of the pyramid. From 2008 to 2010, Amit was Vice President of Operations for DURON - responsible for end-to-end operations as well as market delivery strategy and execution. Before starting DURON, Amit was a management consultant with McKinsey & Company working on manufacturing operations, supply chain management and business strategy. While at McKinsey, he also researched global climate change issues, which included understanding the economic value for companies to go green. Prior to McKinsey, Amit worked for Steelcase, Inc. and Johnson & Johnson where he focused on Lean manufacturing and supply chain. Amit received his BS and MS in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan and is currently pursuing his MBA at Stanford Graduates School of Business. In his free time Amit works on the alumni board for Engineering Global Leadership Program, flies airplanes and practices martial arts.
