Alana Hollings, PsyD.
C.S.O.T.P. Licensed Clinical Psychologist Certified Sex Offender Treatment Provider Dr. Alana Hollings is the owner and director of the Center for Advanced Psychological Services, P.L.L.C. She was born and raised in New Jersey and she graduated Summa Cum Laude, from Ithaca College, in upstate New York. After receiving her bachelor's degree, she moved to Florida to attend graduate school at Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Hollings received her Master of Arts and Doctorate of Psychology degrees in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in Forensic Psychology. Upon completion of her graduate work, Dr. Hollings completed her internship and post-doctoral studies at Atascadero State Hospital, a maximum security forensic hospital in California. Dr. Hollings worked primarily on a unit with men committed under the Sexually Violent Predator (SVP) law. She conducted forensic assessments, provided individual and group therapies, co-facilitated treatment teams and developed behavior plans. After Dr. Hollings successfully completed her internship and post-doc, she passed her licensing exam and relocated to Virginia. She proceeded to receive her certification as a sex offender treatment provider (CSOTP) and she spent over three years working as the Clinical Director of the Behavioral Studies Program for Girls (BSP-G) at the Pines Residential Treatment Center. BSP-G was a unit designed for adolescent females who engaged in sexually abusive behaviors. Dr. Hollings designed the treatment program and supervised the clinical staff. She was actively involved and invested in each girl's treatment progress. Dr. Hollings opened the Center for Advanced Psychological Services (CAPS) in 2008. Dr. Hollings conducts psychosexual, forensic (competency to stand trial and mental status at the time of the offense) parenting capacity and psychological evaluations for the courts, private attorneys and community agencies. She also provides individual and family therapy as well as sex offender treatment. In her leisure time, Dr. Hollings enjoys reading, working out and spending time with her family and friends.
