The Institute operates a large number of members' network forum called "Districts" which serves as a forum for members to meet professionally & socially. One of its Districts operates in the United Kingdom and is known as the UK District (ICAN UK). ICAN UK District Society is one of the many district societies of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and the first one outside the shores of Nigeria operating in the UK and Ireland. ICAN UK has been in existence since 1986 and its membership strength is about 300 from a modest beginning of two. The district was spearheaded by Chief Mrs Camilla Shittu FCA and Mr Olugbenga Coker, FCA ,JP.
