pSTAKE operates as a liquid staking protocol designed to enhance the utility of staked Proof-of-Stake (PoS) assets. The platform enables users to deposit their PoS tokens, such as ATOM, and mint 1:1 pegged ERC-20 wrapped unstaked tokens, known as pTOKENs (e.g., pATOM). Subsequently, users can convert these pTOKENs into stkTOKENs by staking the underlying PoS tokens. stkTOKENs represent the staked assets and accrue staking rewards, which are issued as pTOKENs, allowing for a form of passive income generation without compromising liquidity. This innovative approach aims to unlock the full potential of staked digital assets within the decentralized finance ecosystem.
