Yedei Chesed was founded in 1992 to advocate for the developmentally disabled of our community. Our c... ommitment is to provide these individuals the opportunity of an improved quality of life and the potential for independence, inclusion, individualization, and productivity. Yedei Chesed advocates for the rights, choices and opportunities of people with developmental disabilities and assists them in attaining their rightfully deserved place in society. Yedei Chesed is a contract agency certified by the New York State Office of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities (OMRDD). My child was recently diagnosed with a developmental disability, where do I go from here? I need help with my son after school hours; he has many issues and requires a lot of care. Who can give me assistance with that? All the equipment and special devices for my daughter are very costly. How will I be able to cover themany expenses? I am in desperate need of a vacation, yet I do not have where to leave my child with disabilities. Does that mean I cant go?
