The National Asian Peace Officers Association

The National Asian Peace Officers Association (NAPOA) was established in San Francisco, California in 1980 to foster the development of professional and fraternal relationships within the Asian Pacific law enforcement communities throughout the United States. NAPOA members have worked together to address issues and concerns affecting, our Asian com... munities and the general population. This has resulted in the tremendous growth of membership, increased service to the Asian Pacific communities and the general population, and has fostered fraternity among Asian American officers throughout the world. Our ranks continue to grow and its members represent local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies. NAPOA will continue to promote the interests of Asian American peace officers on a variety of fronts including career development and opportunities in addition to education and awareness about the Asian culture. The goals of the association include promoting equal opportunity in the recruitment, professional development, and advancement of Asians in the law enforcement profession, as well as preserving and protecting the rights and opportunities of Asians in their respective agencies. From its beginning, NAPOA accomplished its mission by offering the highest quality training to the men and women of law enforcement. With a vision of excellence into the new millennium, NAPOA has enhanced its excellent training to ensure that the benefits are reaped by communities that NAPOA member serves. The annual training conference provides a forum for peace officers from across the nation to facilitate the exchange of philosophies, policies, procedures, and strategies to enhance the delivery of police services.
