Who is The Carbon Farmer
The Carbon Farmer Inc. has chosen to underestimate the carbon storage of Dad'sForests by taking the assessment total and converting only 90 percent of the assessed amount into Carbon Plus Credits. As the graph belowshows, Dad's forest has been assessed by a third party firm to store 1060 metric tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2eq) over the course of its 60 year management period. However, we will only be selling 954 Carbon Plus Credits from our first forest, or 90 percent of the 1060 tonnes it has been assessed to store. This is consistent with many offset standards and government regulationsand is designed tolimit the possibility of selling more Carbon Plus Credits than we have actually produced. It is also another way we hope to assure Our Offsetters that we are continually striving to provide a sound way to make a positive impact on our environment.Explore more
