Founded in 1987, Telefiction has become a leading independent television producer in Quebec. Acknowledged for its highly professional approach, diversity and originality of its productions Telefiction's reputation results from its ability to consistently produce popular and highly-rated fare in all television genres. Telefiction is known for producing blockbuster children series such as Pin-Pon, Cornemuse, Ayoye!, and Dominique raconte ... Telefiction is currently producing TOC TOC TOC, a new children's series that is broadcast on Radio-Canada and Télé-Québec. The fourth season of Une pilule, une petite granule!, a series on health matters, is as well currently being produced. Telefiction has also created two major Web sites dedicated to children: www.cornemuse.com and www.toctoctoc.tv. Telefiction has also a feature film division, Les Films Vision 4, which has produced to this day 28 feature films in various genres. Its most recent success is The Outlander, an adaptation of the novel by French Canadian author Germaine Guèvremont. Its last major production is DUO, a romantic comedy released in June of 2006. Telefiction's major achievements include the mini-series, Bombardier, which received 10 Gemeaux awards in 1992, and is considered one of the finest series ever broadcast on Quebec television. In 1995, Telefiction receives accolades again with the mini-series Alys Robi, which remains one of the highest rated series in Quebec. The children series, Pin-Pon and Cornemuse, are two of the most popular programs for pre-schoolers. In 1999, Cornemuse received five Gemeaux awards and five more Gemeaux awards in 2000. Since its inception, Telefiction has received more than 60 Gemeaux nominations and 32 prizes from the Canadian Academy of Cinema and Television, 9 nominations to the Genie Awards and 13 Jutra nominations. Telefiction has pursued its organic growth by creating Imagine Publishing, a company that specializes in publishing youth books. Imagine's mission is to publish books of international appeal, suited for film and television adaptation. Its first releases were adaptation for the French Canadian market of internationally succellful children books. Iin 2005, les Éditions Imagine launch several original children books, as well as 10 others in 2006.
