St Xavier's College, Ahmedabad

St. Xavier's College (Autonomous) is an institute of higher education established in 1955 to mould men and women for others. The College is managed by the Gujarat Province of Society of Jesus and is affiliated to Gujarat University. St. Xavier's College has taken significant strides in curricular and co-curricular activities, during the past six de... cades. We have continued to retain the recognition by UGC as the College with Potential for Excellence. NAAC has accredited St. Xavier's College with a 5 star status in the first round, in 2002, and reaccredited with A+ in 2007. The third round of reaccreditation process is on, and we hope to improve our performance. At this juncture, we place our emphasis on quality and scientific research. It is heartening to note that we are blessed with highly talented faculty members. We appreciate the ongoing research by a number of our faculty. However, the involvement of students in our research ventures is going to be the central focus in the coming days.
