About Sheltering Tree
Committed to community, Sheltering Tree makes pro bono donations of services to local organizations. Jenni Parmalee first learned the craft of documenting story at Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism, and later studied film and theater at the University of Chicago . She began her career helping build Publications, Media and Creative Services departments for two entrepreneurial sports teams. She then joined the Alzheimer's Association to support the re-launch of its brand identity and publications portfolio. Jenni went on to study filmmaking at Maine Media College , directing a short documentary on two resettled refugees from Darfur. During filming, the idea for Sheltering Tree was born.Explore more
