Who is Sassy Hair

Sassy Hair was born out of a dream. In 2004 Daniel was working in the building industry in Western NSW, but realised that he wanted to return to hairdressing and open his own salon. There began the planning. On returning to live in Canberra, he sought work back in the hairdressing industry to refresh his skills. By the end of 2004 we were building what is Sassy Hair Weston today. We spent many months designing, shaping and building the salon, and with the help of some great friends (all pre-children!) we opened the doors for business on 19 February 2005. For us, the fundamentals of Daniel's original vision have never changed. We wanted to provide a salon of the greatest calibre possible, without the pomp and price tags to match! We knew that our skill set would allow this. We pride ourselves on the fact that clients talk of an atmosphere within our salons that is welcoming, vibrant and real. For us, all of this is about you and making sure that your experience as a client in our salons is always pleasant, relaxing and somewhere you are happy to return to, with your family and friends. In a time where no one has a dollar to spare, we work to ensure that our prices remain realistic, while still providing you with the ultimate experience. None of this has to cost the earth. In an industry of high staff turnover, this is an aspect that we have not experienced. The majority of our staff have worked for us for more than five years. We have found that staff who last more than a month, are in it for the long haul. This can be attributed to the fact that we provide an environment of great incentive, conditions and training. We know that our staff are the face of us, and therefore constantly work with them to ensure that their betterment is for you. We love that you can come into our salons and see the same person again and again. In 2014, our initial vision was tripled! In March we took over what used to be Snippets Hair Design and in May Daniel refurbished the salon in just one week! The salon was then rebranded as Sassy Hair Charnwood. In the transition we have been able to keep all of the original staff. The girls in Charnwood have an incredible tenacity, and are very passionate about their clients and what they do. Our melding as a team has worked because we all share the same passions. In July we set about designing and putting together what is now Sassy Hair Phillip. This was a vision that took about 12 months to come to fruition. Again Daniel put his building skills to work and with the help of many, Sassy Hair Phillip was created. This vision continues what we are good at, but also introduces some new aspects to our repertoire including tanning, hair extensions, wigs and education. All of which will come to life at various points in the coming months. In 2015, we have been celebrating our 10th year in business and are holding a year long celebration, with monthly deals.
