Who is Montana Book Festival

Tom has lived in Missoula since 1986, and has been the executive director of Arts Missoula since June 2004. Before then he spent seven and a half years as director of First Night Missoula. After joining Arts Missoula the two organizations merged. Before life in the nonprofit world, Tom taught high school history and was an owner of Freddys Feed & Read, one of Missoulas legendary culinary institutions. He has served on several local nonprofit boards, and has also served on the advisory committee for First Night USA. He has been a singer with the Missoula Symphony Chorale, Dolce Canto, and the Ed Norton Big Band. He enjoys being outdoors, whether it is hiking, biking, skiing, walking the dogs, or mowing the lawn. His wife Susan works for Montana Public Radio, and they have one son, Peter, a Hellgate High School graduate. Honore has an MLIS from the University of Illinois. Eamon has been involved with the Montana Book Festival since 2009. Recent reading highlights include Disappearing Earth by Julia Phillips, Eleanor Catton's The Luminaries, and Emily St. John Mandel's The Glass House. When not reading, Eamon enjoys backpacking, fly fishing, playing soccer, and travelboth locally and further afield. Eamon grew up in Columbus, Ohio, studied Russian at Middlebury College, and received a JD from Ohio State. Professionally, Eamon is a manager and sometimes an attorney. He has operated an art gallery, directed e-commerce distribution center activities for a startup company, worked on corporate bankruptcies, and served as in-house counsel. As a manager at the UM Bookstore for 14 years, Eamon oversaw personnel, operations, and corporate and legal matters for this not-for-profit organization.
