Merck Academy is an educational program for Academic Medical Centers. It aims to share Merck's knowledge with the medical and scientific community by providing relevant, non-CME education drawn from Merck's core areas of expertise. Merck Academy content is available through an interactive website. Who is the primary audience for Merck Academy? The primary audience for Merck Academy is students, housestaff, researchers, and faculty at AMCs interested in expanding their knowledge in areas related to pharmaceuticals, vaccines, discovery, and development. Who are Merck Academy Faculty? Merck Academy Faculty are Merck physicians and scientists who are engaged in various medical and scientific activities at Merck and who volunteer to speak in their areas of expertise at Academic Medical Centers. Many Merck Academy Faculty members have worked in academic medicine prior to their role at Merck. Note: Merck Research Laboratories employees do not serve as Merck Academy Faculty. Are there CME credits available for participating with Merck Academy? No. Merck Academy presentations are non-CME education only. As a commercial interest Merck can not develop content for the purpose of providing CME. This is in compliance with the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME).
