Love of Learning Montessori School was founded in 1983 as the result of one woman's vision to provide a quality education for her children. Over the years, the school has grown from one elementary class to a community of classrooms serving children 6 weeks to twelve years old. Our Head of School, C. Awilda Torres, is a Montessori teacher by training who has always guided the school along a path that has remained true to the Montessori philosophy. Our Montessori-based approach inspires students to participate inplanning their curriculum; a process which keeps their sense of wonder and excitement alive. Our graduates move on to a variety of public, private and parochial schools in Maryland. Parents choose our school for their children because our teachers are committed to the individual growth of every child who walks through their doors.
