Who is Lincoln Medical Center
The Internal Medicine Residency Program at Lincoln Medical Center is fully accredited by the American Council of Graduate Medical Education - ACGME and provides comprehensive post-graduate training in all areas of the vast field of Internal Medicine with an emphasis on the skills required for primary care practice. Lincoln Medical Center is located in the South Bronx (an area experiencing remarkable development and reinvigoration) and has long tradition of providing care to the poor and the disadvantaged in the City of New York. Lincoln Medical Center, founded in 1839, is one of New York City's premier acute care hospitals located in Downtown Bronx. It is staffed by more than 300 physicians with a 347 bed capacity including 20 NICU beds, 30 ICU beds, 8 PICU beds, and an 11 station Dialysis center. It is a teaching hospital with a storied past and is renowned for its quality of care and patient experience. The hospital is the first Designated Baby-Friendly hospital in the Bronx and is part of the global hospital initiative sponsored by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) to promote maternal and infant health.Read more
