Kingdom SACCO Society Limited was established in 1999 by the Life Reformation Centre with the aim of improving the economic and social livelihood of its members. The SACCO was registered with the Ministry of Cooperatives on 21st January 2000 under the Cooperative Societies Act No.12 of 1997. It is currently governed by the SACCO Societies Act of 2008 and its by-laws. The SACCO's membership was initially drawn from churches in Kenya affiliated to a global Network of Churches called Congress WBN (C-WBN) which continues be the context within which Kingdom Sacco is developed. C-WBN is a Global Network of Churches and other related Kingdom initiatives focused on effecting human, social and national transformation through the propagation of value-based development principles, patterns and approaches.
