The Historical Society of Perry County (HSofPC) was formed on May 28, 1923 and incorporated in 1952. The HSofPC is a non-profit corporation designed for the purpose of the collection, preservation, and interpretation of historical records and artifacts of Perry County. The m... ission statement of the Historical Society is To Manage, Conserve and Promote the History of Perry County, PA The vision statement of the Historical Society encompasses the following tenets: To gather and collect artifacts and items as defined in the Historical Society of Perry Countys Collections Policy; To create and maintain facilities to effectively display artifacts and other items; To offer historically-related programs that stimulate interest and educate audiences of all ages in the rich heritage of Perry County and its people; To grow the membership so as to continue the Society. The Historical Society presently owns and operates 11 historic properties within Perry County. We are in the process of professionalizing our operations, preservation and collections policies, increasing our endowment and funds campaigns, and enlarging our membership base.
