The Company was established in 1912 by Harry Griffiths. Thus H.G.C.L. has been part of the Toronto Construction scene for over 90 years. Harry's son Bill then ran the company for with his son Jerry and daughter Naomi joining the team. Mel Prowse started working for the company in the 1960's and after advancing within the firm he, along with Naomi and a third partner, purchased the company.
